From Sandersville Progress paper:
Mrs. J. C. Whitaker gave us the following account of the wedding of her father and mother who were married Oct 14, 1896,as follows:

A large number of friends witnessed the marriage of Mr. J.T. Wright to Miss Magnolia Barwick, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Barwick in this place last Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock. The bridal couple stood at the entrance to the parlor while Rev. D.F .Riley, in a solemn and impressive manner, pronounced the words which made them husband and wife.
Hearty and cordial congratulations and best wishes were extended to the happy pair, after which the evening was spent in social enjoyment. The bride received a number of elegant presents. For several years she has been one of the attaches of the Progress office, and by her gentle and modest manners has won her way into the hearts of all with whom she has been associated. The fortunate groom is a section master on the Augusta Southern Railroad, and is an upright, Christian gentleman. May their journey through life lead them on to a happier existence in the great beyond.

Children:
