Lonnie Richard Harrison, 70, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, April 6, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Harrison was born Sept. 22, 1938 in Ellington. The son of the late Richard B. and Audrey L. (Christian) Harrison.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and had retired after 40 years as a car salesman. During his earlier years Mr. Harrison worked in lead mines, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. An avid car fan he was especially proud of his 1966 Chevy pickup truck which was shown in numerous car shows and won numerous trophies.

On July 31, 1959 he married Lavada Morrison in Ellington. She survives.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Charles Buck officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Ellington Memorial Cemetery in Reynolds County.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 500 North Main St., Poplar Bluff, Mo. 63901.
