Lawrence Earl Berry, 68, of Vandalia died at 1:40 am Monday, March 1, 1999 at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 3, 1999 at Miller Funeral Home, 831 North 5th Street, Vandalia, Illinois. Burial will be in Mcinturff Cemetery, rural Vandalia. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:oo pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Berry was born January 31, 1931, in Corson County, South Dakota. The son of Irene Sherman and adopted by William Berry. He married Mildred L Oliver on December 22, 1948. He married Deloris Jett on July 26, 1976 at Jackson, Mississippi. He leaves behind two sons, Marc R. Berry and Carl Berry , both of Vandalia. Two daughters, Sandra (Marc) Wilson of Gifford, Illinois and Libby Orrell (Rusty) of Patoka. Three Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. Mr Berry was a retired independent truck driver. He had been employed by Gateway Freight Lines, Peoria. He served with the USN.
