A memorial service for Grace E. Swift of McMinnville will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the McMinnville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steve Ross officiating. Private interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.
Mrs. Swift died Sept. 16, 2003, in her home. She was 93.
She was born Feb. 21, 1910, in McMinnville, the daughter of Charles Freemont and Ellen Heckart Pruden. As a young child she was raised and educated in Cedar Mill, but later moved to McMinnville with her parents. She graduated from McMinnville High School in 1926. She later graduated from Northwestern School of Commerce, Portland.
She and Wallace Olinger were married May 19, 1928, in McMinnville. She worked for a McMinnville attorney and later was the office manager at Hagan Hamilton Insurance, McMinnville, for 30 years.
Mr. Olinger died in 1958.
She and Edward Swift were married April 30, 1971, in McMinnville.
Mrs. Swift retired in 1972. She belonged to the McMinnville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed travel, volunteering, sewing, gardening and reading.
Survivors include a nephew, William Swift of Beaverton and a niece, Nancy Clifton of Portland.
She also was preceded in death by her second husband in 1989 and by two sisters, Bessie Agee and Mabel Pulley.
