FOSTER, W.Va. — Nellie Dean Adkins Fitch of Foster, prior to spending most of her life in Chicago, Ill., passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008, following her tough battle with various illnesses.
Born on Jan. 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Ollie (Acord) Adkins.
Survivors include a son, Richard Fitch and his wife Linda and family of Lake Villa, Ill.; a son, Gerald (Jerry) Fitch and his wife Janet and family of Dracut, Mass.; a daughter, Debbie Heath and her husband Kenny and family of Addison, Ill.; a daughter, Cheryl Khoury and family of Houston, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Fitch and family of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; and a sister, Audrey Sands and her family of Foster.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lance Fitch, her son Donny Fitch, and son Stephan Fitch.
Her family, all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her close friends, her sister (Audrey Sands) whom she resided with, were the most important part of her life.
The family would like to Thank and offer our Love to our Dear Aunt Grace and her family for their very special care that they gave to our Mom over the past few years. We would also like to thank all of our Mom's family members and her dear friends who were always so kind to her, allowed her to share with them, and always gave her a listening ear. She thought the world of all of you, and always held each one of you in her heart.
Funeral arrangements are being taken care of by the Malec & Son's Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, Ill. Funeral services will be held at the Malec Funeral Home, with calling hours on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, from 5 to 9 p.m., and a funeral service at the Malec Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2008. Interment will be at the Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Ill.
