HENRY F. WILLIAMS PASSES AWAY; SERVICES SUNDAY
Henry Freeman Williams 75, passed away in a Terrell hospital at 8:30 a.m. Saturday after an extended illness.
He was born in Arkansas and had lived in the Crescent Heights Community since 1940. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors are his wife, two daughter, Mrs Mamie Langford and Mrs. Lona Donaldson of Athens; a brother , W.E. Williams of Wade, Oklahoma, a grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Hassell and Foster chapel with Father Paul Hadley and Rev. Carter officiating, and burial was in Athens City Cemetery.

GOLDEN WEDDING DAY AT DALLAS RECEPTION
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Williams of Athens will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary Sunday at a reception to be given for them at the home of Mrs Eugene Castel in Dallas.
The host of the party will be their children, Mr. and Mrs. Hermon Lankford and Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Donaldson of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Castel of Dallas and other relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams were married June 14, 1899. Mrs Williams was the former Miss Florence Mann. Both she and her husband came here from Hot Springs, Ark. before moving to Texas.
Williams, before his retirement, was a carpenter and contractor. He and his wife have attended the Methodist Church for the last 35 years and are active in the chruch affairs.
