PINEVILLE — June Walker Oliver, 81, of Keyrock Road, Pineville, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009, at her residence.

Born Dec. 1, 1927, at New Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Victor Walker (1887-1952) and Edith "Pearl" Stewart-Walker (1888-1974).

Mrs. Oliver was a member of Rock Castle Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. June was a lab/X-ray technician and retired from Family Healthcare and Wyoming General Hospital with over 40 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward A. Oliver (1923-2005), on March 9, 2005; a daughter, Jackie Oliver; a grandson, Gregory Oliver; brothers and sisters, Arthur Vaughn Walker (1907-1969), Alvin Jay Walker (1908-1980), Carl Victor Walker (1910-1975), Minnie Lee Walker-Hedrick (1913-1994), Mary Garnett Walker-Wyatt (1915-1982), Elsie Marie Walker-Smith (1918-1994), Thelma Walker (1922-Deceased), and Jack Walker (1924-2006).

Survivors include a son, James E. Oliver and his wife, Jean, of Keyrock; two daughters, Gail Oliver-Stitt and her husband Mel R., of Wytheville, Va., and Brenda Oliver-Dress and her husband, James M., of Cocoa, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer Rennie, Stefanie Rennie, Brian Oliver, Bruce Stitt, Todd Stitt, Leann Smith, James A. Stitt, Jason Stitt, Joshua Stitt, Christopher Dress, John Dress, Rebecca Dress, Matthew Dress and Mark Dress; 11 great-grandchildren, Austin Rennie, Jenna Oliver, Jessica Dress, Marian Dress, Miranda Dress, Jackson Dress, Zoë Baker, Marlo Stitt, Rachel Stitt, Christopher Stitt and Ryland Stitt.

A celebration of June's life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with the Rev. Donald "Doc" Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Bower Family Cemetery, Twin Falls. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the funeral home.
