James Arthur McIntee, 71, of Hickman, Ky., died March 24, 2009, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton. Services will be 11 am Saturday at Fulton County High School in Hickman, with the Revs. James Roberson and Dewayne Golightly officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Friends may call at Strong Funeral Home this evening from 6-8 pm and Saturday at the school from 9 am until the hour of services. Pallbearers will be Eddie Dean, Thomas Walker, Robert Cobb, Steve Cheirs, George Wilson and Willie Hagler. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Major, Lynn Major, Jim Major, Albert Dinwiddie, George Arthur, Mark Yassi, Dan Rice, Ralph Tyler, Billy Bransford, Richard Garmon and Joe Cheirs.

He was a retired maintenance employee who had worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City and was a member of Thomas Chapel CME Church in Hickman.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McIntee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard and Twanda McIntee of Paducah, Ky, and Dewayne and Gwen McIntee of St. Louis; two daughters and his son-in-law, Sharon and Freddie Winters of Augusta, Ga, and Karen Hunter of Louisville, Ky; six brothers, Condra Caldwell Jr. of Memphis, James E. Caldwell and Norman Caldwell, both of Fort Wayne, Ind, Robert Earl Caldwell of Dorena, Mo, Roy Lee Caldwell of Union City and Tim Andrews of Bloomington, Ill; three sisters, Leora Burton of Pontiac, Mich, Flossie Thomas of Union City and Imogene McDonald of Kansas City, Mo; and 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Condra Caldwell; his mother, Orean (McIntee) Caldwell Andrews; and his stepfather, Jim Andrews.
