George was the youngest son born to George and Maria Horn. In 1775 he married Sarah Jones Horn (daughter of John and Eleanor Jones). To this union four children were born.

Children: William J. Horn

The family resided in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where George was a farmer.

George was a private in the Revolutionary War.

The quaintest epitaph is that on the stone of George Horn

George Horn who departed this life July 20th 1813 aged 75 years 4 months 19 days
This Man Was Honest Faithful
Just And True His Life To
Copy Ought To Be Our View
But Death Has Conquered
After Extreme Pain And Our
Deep Loss Is His Eternal Gain
