FAYETTE - Argie Lee Wheat, age 83, of 18552 Moccasin Branch Road, died Nov. 20, 2000 at Northport DCH Health Care. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Wheat.
Survivors include his wife, Audra Stripling Wheat of Fayette; daughter, Argean Champion of Fayette; son, Rodney (Gina) Wheat, of Fayette; sister Lessie Gilliam of Bay Minette; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Wheat leaves a wife of 61 years to cherish his memories.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Stripling, Jr., Garland Stripling, Henry Harless, Randy Galloway, Eddie Jacobs, and Roy Jacobs.
Son of James Dotson Wheat and Ella Davis.
