Miss Smith died Thursday in a Vernon nursing home following a lengthy illness.
She was born January 18, 1905 in Brownsboro, daughter of the late Ernest E. Smith and the late Click E. Robbins Smith. She was a resident of Lubbock from 1944 until May 1991, when she moved to this area.
Miss Smith was a member of First United Methodist Church of Quanah. Before her retirement she taught school in Chilicothe, Quanah and Lubbock. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Book Club.
She was an avid China painter and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include several cousins.
