Charles E Fenner of 554 Main St. died Thursday morning in his home. Mr. Fenner was a canvasser with the circulation department of the Evening Gazette for about 18 years, who had retired in 1940. He and his wife lived at their Main St. address for many years and his business office was right across the hall from their apartment. Of course there were many other businesses around them. One in particular was a costume company that intrigued young visitors.

Charles was born in Jewett City, Conn. on Sep 13, 1862, the son of Luther and Lucy (Bitgood) Fenner, brother of Henry Eugene Fenner. He married Rose on June 9, 1907 in Worcester, where Charles lived for sixty years. At the time of his death on Jan 19, 1956, he left his wife, Rose M Anglin Fenner, and several nieces and nephews. Rev. Robert Dresser officiated at his funeral.
