Funeral services will be announced by N.S.Griggs & Sons for George Albert Powell, 57, of Amarillo, who was dead on arrival at 1:15 p.m. Monday at Northwest Texas Hospital. Death was attributed to natural causes.
Mr. Powell was born Sept 22, 1913. He had been an Amarillo resident for the past 13 years.
He was a member of the Industrail City Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a disabled truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma; three sons Virgil Don Hightower of Amarillo and Phillip Earl Hightower and George Edward Powell, both of the home.
