Mrs. Mary B. Powell
PAMPA (Special) -- Funeral services for Mrs Mary B. Powell, 85, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Duncan-Carmichael Funeral Chapel here.
Officiating will be the Rev. Clesby Patterson, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Fritch, assisted by the Rev Hugh Blaylock, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Dimmitt.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Powell, a resident of Fritch, died 3:35 p.m. Wednesday at Twilight Acres Rest Home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1879, in Bosque County, Tex. She was a member of the Frist Methodist Church of Muleshoe and the widow of the Rev. Edward Powell, who died in June of 1957.
Survivors include sons Joe of Kermit, Allan of Denver and George of Amarillo, a daughter, Mrs Mary Swaffar of Fritch, sisters, Mrs. Annie Davis of Wellington and Mrs. Mattie Blaylock of Hereford; brothers John Shaw of Claude and Charles Shaw of Littlefield; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
