Investigation was continuing today into the traffic death Wednesday of Mrs. Katie E. McGill, 76, of Hugheston. State Police at Chelyan said Mrs. McGill was struck by a car on U.S. 119 at Marmet. The driver of the car was Carl Arthur Jr., 19, of Marmet, troopers said. It hadn't been determined whether the woman was struck while crossing the roadway or while she was walking along the berm. She was visiting friends at Marmet. Mrs. McGill was a member of the Hughes Creek Church of God and lived in Kanawha County 30 years. Surviving: son, Charles of Hugheston; sister, Mrs. Gretna Perry of Hugheston; brother, Ernest Heslop of Charleston. Service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Hughes Creek Church of God with the Rev. Clifford Hess and the Rev. Alfred Bowe officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery.
