Denison Bulletin - Thursday , April 23rd, 1964 - Iva Mae Ahart, daughter of Fred and Roselle Zea Landon, was born Jan. 21, 1893 near Vail. She was raised in the Vail community and attended school there. She was united in marriage to Willard Rickman Aug. 31, 1917. One son, Cedric, was born to this union, who died in infancy. They settled in Deloit where she lived until she was taken to the Eventide home Dec. 27, 1963. Mr Rickman died from a heart attack several years later. She later married Albert Ahart of Charter Oak. He died in 1936.
Her parents, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mina Chaffee, of Omaha, Nebr.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 24, at 1 p.m. at the Methodist church of Deloit. Rev Wallace Parmer officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Norman Busch, Mearl Graham, Allen
Kessel, Harvey Linke, Erland Larson and Eldridge Winey. Interment was at the Deloit cemetery.
