Alexandra was the youngest daughter of Nicolaas Konig and Xenia DelFosse Konig. She was preceded in death by her sister Jessica who also died of cancer.

Alex's father was Dutch and her mother is Indonesian, from Jakarta. She was named after her maternal grandfather, Alexander Delfosse.

Alex grew up in California wine country where her father managed the Sebastiani Winery. She graduated from the Fashion Institute and worked many years as a Regional Representative for the Estée Lauder cosmetics company. She loved gardening and used her talents at Molbek's Florists and in her own beautiful garden.

Her first husband was Ron S. They later divorced, probably in California.
Alex was survived by her mother Xenia in Horizon City, Texas and older half-sister Frieda Byrd in El Paso, Texas. They call her Carla instead of Alex. Her father died of cancer soon after she did and is buried or scattered near Waikoloa in Hawaii. Her mother's brother lives in Holland.

In 1992 Alex married her second husband, Ivar in Hawaii and they lived in a beautiful house they built on Mitchell Hill in Preston, Washington. Alex did not have any children, but she made friends wherever she went. Alex loved horses and left her horses to her godson Chase.

In 2018 her surviving sister and mother are both very ill in El Paso area.
