John Earl married Mary Heaton.
They had a son John Harrison Earl Jr. Married Sarah Mariah Hine. It is believed that John Jr.'s first wife was Permelia Sherman Earl, died 1846 as noted below.
John had moved to Rowland Township of Trumbull
County, Ohio by February 1801,and owned 50 acres in
Range 3 Township 4 (Howland Township) "by bond" in an
1804 tax list. John's brothers, Moses and Ebenezer,
appeared in the same 1801 record. During the War of 1812,
John served in the 1st (Rayen's) Regiment of Ohio Militia,
along with his brotherJacob and his half brothers Robert and
Joseph. John moved to Lordstown Township of Trumbull
County, Ohio about 1832. Tax records show thatJohn began
being taxed on 100 acres in Lot 37 of Lordstown Township
in 1828, although he had no personal property there until
1832, when he appears to have made the move.
