OBITUARY:
Edwin Hofmann, 76, Succumbs To Illness
Edwin G. Hofmann, 76, of Terre Haute and formerly of Sullivan, died at Marion Tuesday following an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Hofmann operated the Ford agency in Sullivan for several years, and later was traffic manager for the Charles Pfizer plant at Terre Haute.
He was a veteran of World War I, having served as a captain in the famed Rainbow Division.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Allen, Sullivan, and Mrs. Sue Evans, Jackson, Miss.; nine grandchildren, and two sisters.
Services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at the SS Peter and Paul Cathedral in Indianapolis, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Feeney-Kirby Mortuary, Indianapolis.
