Wilma Eldida Berry, 85, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Oakdale Care Center.

Mrs. Berry was born Oct. 2, 1923, at Poplar Bluff. The daughter of the late John Wilburn and Nella Mae Parkin Kearbey.

Married in Poplar Bluff to Johnny Reed Berry who proceeded her in death, Dec 22, 1963. She had lived most of her life in Poplar Bluff.

She was a longtime member of Good Hope Methodist Church where she taught a children's Sunday school Class for many years. She worked at the Gossard Garment Factory for many years, also as a teacher's aide at the former Zion Lutheran School and later at Cedargate before retiring.

She is survived by two sons, Randy and Stan Berry, both of Poplar Bluff; a brother, John Kearbey of Poplar Bluff; and a grandson, Jesse "Biff" Berry of Springfield.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. tonight at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Kneir officiating. Burial will be in the Sparkman Cemetery.

The family asks that memorials be sent to Good Hope Methodist Church, 1547 CR 470, Poplar Bluff, Mo. 63901.
