Mr. Etheridge was a lifelong resident of Chiefland.
He retired from General Electric and had recently worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Survivors include daughters Glenda Padgett and Karen Trotter, both of Newberry, and Felecia Etheridge of Steinhatchee; a son, Stephen Etheridge of Lake Butler; brothers Franz Etheridge of Morriston and Clayton Etheridge of Mesa, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
