CHIEFLAND - Jessie Auburn Etheridge died Thursday at Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Trenton. He was 89. Mr. Etheridge was born in Clark County, Ala., and moved to Chiefland 85 years ago. He was retired. Survivors include sons, Frank Etheridge of Chiefland, Franz Etheridge of Titusville and Clayton Etheridge of Meza, Ariz.; sisters, Ila Rains and Isabelle Studstill, both of Chiefland; a brother, Honree Etheridge of Chiefland; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
