Services for Delbert Daniel HAMMETT, 77, of the Blackgum community are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. in the Blackgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial is in the Box Cemetery under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home. Mr. HAMMETT died at his home on Wednesday, Feb. 22. He was born Sept. 3, 1906, to Mack HAMMETT and Lella Ann HOPPER HAMMETT in Blackgum. Survivors include the wife, Jewel of the home; one son, Delbert Truman; two daughters, Barbara Lou, and Marbara Lee; one sister, Lottie; two brothers, Oley and Albert; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
