Mrs. Ida Mae Bushong, 72, of 151 East Pewamo, was dead on arrival at Ionia County Memorial hospital Thursday evening. She had suffered a fatal heart attack.
Born October 9, 1901, in Lyons township she was the daughter of Jesse and Anna DeLaVernge Stiles and attended Spaulding and Lyons schools. January 30, 1919, she was married to Thomas Bushong of Lyons and they lived in the Pewamo and Lyons areas all their married lives. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic church of Pewamo and its altar society and also belonged to Blue Star Mothers of Pewamo.
Besides her husband, Thomas, she leaves two sons and two daughters...; 22 grandchildren all 11 great grandchildren; brother Howard Stiles of Ionia and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Page of Lowell and Mrs. Bessie Patterson of Ionia.
Funeral services will be Monday at 20 am at St Joseph Catholic church of Pewamo. Monsignor Thomas Bolger will officiate and interment will be at St Joseph cemetery. Rosary will be recited Friday and Sunday at 8 pm at Hull Memorial chapel in Muir.
