William R. Harrington, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009. He was born May 5, 1927, in North Adams, Mass., and was a 45-year resident of Las Vegas. William served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was also an intelligence agent for the Federal Government for 10 years. He retired after 30 years as an elementary school teacher for the Clark County School District. William was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius F. Harrington Sr. and Florence M. Harrington. He is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Judy Harrington; sons, Tom Harrington of West Hollywood, Calif., and Danny Harrington of Los Angeles; and brothers, Cornelius F. Harrington Jr. and Robert A. Harrington, both of Las Vegas. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be at Southview Cemetery, in North Adams, Mass. Donations can be made to Vegas PBS, KLVX Channel 10.
