Fidelia (Church) Coan was the youngest daughter of Capt. Samuel and Abigail (Munson) Church. She was the sister of Rev. Dr. Samuel Clemon Church - minister in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She was the 1st wife of Rev. Titus Coan. They were married Churchville, New York November 3, 1834. He was a missionary to the Hawaiian Islands from 1834 to 1882.
