Born on November 9, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Emanuel and Anna (Svaard) Anderson and resided in Groton for the past 39 years.
Lennart spent most of his working career as a Photographer for the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War. Following his naval career, he went on to work for the United States Post Office at the Mystic Branch for ten years.
He leaves his son, Larry Anderson and his wife, Michelle, of Uncasville; and three grandchildren, Nicolas Bellerose, Ian and Joshua Anderson all of Uncasville.
He was predeceased by a son Kenny Anderson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 5-7 pm followed by a celebrant service at 7:00 pm at the Mystic Funeral Home Route 1 Mystic.
