Mrs Myrtle Dawson. 79, of 2108 Moravia Street Ext was dead on arrival at Jameson Memorial Hospital at 7:35 p.m. yesterday. She apparently suffered a heart attack.
She was born in New Castle March 14, 1886 to the late Thomas and Ida Law McCallun. Her first husband, Thomas Kelly, died in 1945. She later married Arthur Dawson, who died in 1963.
Surviving are two sons, James Leroy Kelly of Lynn Ind, and Joseph A Kelly of New Galilee; two daughters, Mrs Charles (Lena) Aiken and Mrs Harvey (Pearl) Yoho, both of Wampum, two sisters, Mrs William (Mary) Yarman of Holly Hill, FL; and Mrs Oscar (Achsah) Rauschenbach of Hubbard OH; 22 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son Earl Kelly in 1917; two brothers, Joseph McCallun and George McCallun in 1956 and one sister.
Friends will be received at the William F DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev C.F. Westover of Keeley Chapel, New Galilee, officiating.
Interment will be in Savannah Cemetery.
