Second wife was Frances Johnson Clark in 1874. They had no children together. Frances was previously married to Israel Clark and their children were Clara, Letitia, and Louise Clark.

Father of atleast 21 children with first and third wives, including infant twins Ola & Ona Silvus.

He was killed in Beverly, Ohio near the livery stable according to son, Harry Silvus, and his killer was never found.

SUDDEN DEATH

Of Mr. Nathan Silvus of Center Township

Mr. Nathan Silvus, who was about 70 years of age, died suddenly on Monday evening at his home, near Farley, north of Beverly, of apoplexy. He was the father of a large family. Those who are still living are Mrs. Edna Mitchell, Fred Silvus, Mrs. Frank Peregoy, R.P. Silvus, Mrs. S.C. Mitchell, Mrs. H. B. Robinson and Mrs. W.K. Brenholtz, all of Zanesville, Walter Silvus, of Minneapolis and Clarence Silvus, of Center twp. The deceased was an excellent citizen and an upright man.
