Last rites will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home here for Mrs. Charlotte MATTICE, 75, wife of Floyd "Jack"MATTICE of Rochester.
Mrs. Mattice died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at her home, 1011 Madison street, following a two-week illness.
The Rev. James SCHUMACHER will officiate at the rites, and cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
Born in Rochester on March 6, 1886, Mrs. Mattice was the daughter of Harry and Rose KILLEN. She was married here Nov. 16, 1908, and the couple resided in Rochester until 1918, moving first to Indianapolis and later to Washington, D.C.
Her husband served in Indianapolis as city attorney and as chief deputy Marion county prosecutor, later joining the Attorney General's staff in Washington and being a defense counsel at the Japanese war crimes trials in Tokyo following World War II. The Mattices returned to Rochester in 1956 following Mr. Mattice's retirement.
Mrs. Mattice was a member of the First Presbyterian church and past president of the Sunnyside Guild, Indianapolis.
Surviving, besides the husband, are one daughter, Mrs. Helen MARSH, Bluffton; three grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. David WEDMORE, Muncie.
