Born May 4, 1914 in Murray, Utah, to Charles and Clara Smith Barnett. Married Alvera Keysor, February 9, 1935 in Murray. He was a member of the LDS Church. Loved gardening, working on his cars, cooking and traveling with his family.
Survivors: wife, Murray; sons and daughter, James G. and wife, Lillian, West Jordan; Calvin L. and wife, Deanna, Murray; Joyce E. and husband, Richard S. Smith, West Jordan; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Bloomquist, Murray; brother, Willy Barnett, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 1993, 10 a.m., Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, 9 to 9:45 a.m.
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
