Geraldine Moncier Hyduk, 85, of Dry Creek Road, Jonesborough, died Thursday evening at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Hyduk was a daughter of the late Frank and Belle Mercer Moncier. She had lived in South Bend, Ind., prior to moving back to this area in 1967. She was a housewife and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #2108. Mrs. Hyduk was a Free Will Baptist. She was the widow of Joseph F. Hyduk. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby Joe and Judy Hyduk and Danny and Sue Hyduk, all of Jonesborough; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Viola Mauk and Della Price, both of Greeneville, and Lois and Robert Craig McCurry of Bagdad, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Bob Moncier and Noble Moncier; and a sister: Blanche Colb. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Kiser Funeral Chapel with interment in Harris Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Greer will officiate. Pallbearers will be John Smith, Jeff Price, Jack Price, Gene Jennings, Dean McCurry, and Darrell Bennett.
