She received her education at Southeast Missouri State University and was a member of the Alpha Theta chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Miss Busse taught elementary education for 40 years at Beaufort Elementary School.
As a young woman, she attended Pacific Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Miss Busse is survived by three brothers, John Busse, Poplar Bluff, Wayne Busse and wife Marie, Robertsville, and Ed Busse and wife Patricia, Labadie; six sisters, Wilma Ellis, Hermann, Joyce Ohlendorf and husband John, Waterloo, Ill., Alice Horton and husband Melvin, Sun City, Ariz., Georgia Ahlers and husband William, Union, Ruby Susan Busse, Sullivan, and Joni Siewell and husband Matt, Albany, Ore.; one aunt, nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair. The Rev. Jennifer Spivey officiated.
Interment was in Anaconda Cemetery in St. Clair.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association or National Kidney Foundation are preferred.
