Eldon D. Bellows Sr.

Eldon D. Bellows Sr., 85, of Lake formerly of Flint and Winter Haven, Fla., died Wednesday April 15, 2009.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday April 20, at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, downtown Davison, with the Rev. Gene Smith officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park.
Family received visitors Saturday and will also receive visitors from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Eldon was born in Weidman June 4, 1923, the son of the late Grover and Mabel (Johnson) Bellows and had resided in the Flint area most of his life. He made his retirement homes in Lake, and Winter Haven Fla.
Answering the call of his country, he served in WW II and was a member of American Legion Post 0310. Eldon was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 1023 and UAW Local 599.
Mr. Bellows was employed by General Motors Buick Division as a pipefitter for 32 years, retiring on July 1, 1975.
He is survived by children, Eldon "Zeke" Bellows of Davison, David Bellows of Weidman, Ronald Bellows of Grand Blanc, Charles Bellows of Davison, Delores Shemes of Grand Blanc and their families.
He is also survived by sisters, Emma Branam of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and Betty (and Ernest) Beutler of Traverse City; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives; best friend and companion Alberta Sheldon; and their families.
He was preceded in death by wife Marjorie Duray and Velora Diener and brothers Ed, Jack, Roscoe, and Donald and sisters Joann Milligan, Donna Bunting and Marvel Ritchie.
