Barbara Ann Osborn, 70, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 17, 2009, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho She was born May 8, 1938, in National City, Calif., the daughter of Samuel Lyle and Jessie Fay Rogers Babcock.

Barbara had many loves of her life, including her husband of 38 years, Dwight; daughters, Raeann (Kirk) Sheffield and LouAnn (Dave) Undhjem; and four grandchildren, Sarah and Samuel Sheffiield and Zachary and Nathan Undhjem.

Barbara was very active in the Holtville, Calif., and Verde 4-H Clubs, holding various leadership roles and the Imperial, Calif., Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Barbara and Dwight relocated to Blackfoot, Idaho, in 2005, where she loved her scenic view overlooking the Snake River and the birds and wildlife that would visit each day.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. in Blackfoot. Additional memorial services will be held at a later date in Holtville, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to the or the Idaho Chapter of Young Life.
