GOLDIE CROCKETT
LAMAR — Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, for Goldie F. Crockett, 98, Lamar, who died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at a Lamar nursing home after a long illness. The Rev Randall Mayfield officiated. Burial was in Oakton Cemetery in Barton County.
Contributions may be made to Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.
Survivors include a nephew, Leo Day, Willard, and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and a daughter, Dixie Sue, in 1939.
Mrs. Crockett was born Jan. 5, 1900, at Jasper, to Daniel and Libby Shell Day. She lived in Barton County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Sunny Service Club, both of Barton County.
She married Mack P. Crockett on Oct. 31, 1933, in Lamar. He died July 28, 1970.
