Edith Goodman Levitt, 96, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Ocala Regional Medical Center. Edith was born in Newark, NJ and came here 34 years ago from Neptune, NJ. She was a retired librarian at the Neptune Public Library, and worked at Friedman's Bakery in Neptune, NJ. She volunteered many years at M.R.M.C medical records department. Edith was a WWII veteran of the Air Force. Edith was a member of B'Nai Darom Temple of Ocala. Her beloved husband Harold "Bunny" Levitt precedes her in death. Edith is survived by her daughter Ellen Levitt of Seattle, Washington. Nieces include Beverly Voorhees of Neshanic Station, NJ., Ellen Gerson of Seattle, Washington and Janice Levin of Monroe Township, NJ. There will be a funeral service for Edith on Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Roberts Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Ave at 10:00 AM with a private burial at Florida National Cemetery.
