NAMPA—Funeral services for Don Wallace Chandler, 45, of 11th Ave. N. Ext., Nampa died Monday evening at a local hospital following an extended illness, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Nampa First Ward LDS church, with Bishop Wayne T. Rich, Bishop of the Ward, officiating.
Interment will follow in the LDS Garden at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel until 9 a.m. Friday.
Mr. Chandler was born April 21, 1923 at Weiser, and was reared and attended schools there . He married to Betty E. Hampson on Nov. 15,1940, at Vale, Ore., He had operated a custom meat business at Homedale, Idaho, for eight years, and for the past 4 1/2 years, he had been employed in the sundries department of Mountain States Wholesale Co., at Boise. He was an active member of the Nampa FIRST Ward, LDS church, and had devoted his life to the church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty E. Chandler of Nampa; two sons, Rick D. Chandler and Thad J. Chandler both of Nampa; four daughters, Mrs. Vicki Lea Anderson of Homedale, Mrs. Connie D. Read of Long Beach, Calif., Judy Kaye Chandler of Nampa, and Wendy Jo Chandler of Nampa; his mother, Mrs. Hazel Chandler of Weiser; two brothers, Kenneth Chandler of Weiser, and Robert Chandler of Vernal, Utah; three sisters, Mrs. Maxine Daniels of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, Mrs. Mary Compton of Virginia , and Mrs. Juanita Erickson of Eugene, Ore., and by six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, and by two brothers.
