SAN CARLOS - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today for Walter Owen Purdy of 1056 Springfield Dr., who died in a San Mateo hospital Friday night.
Mr. Purdy, part owner of a Burlingame barber shop for 17 years, died of a heart attack, according to the coroner's report. He leaves his widow, Lydia Duarte Purdy, and 8-year-old son, Peter Owen, as well as a sister, Mrs. Ruth Rosenstiel of Corvallis, Ore.
After services in the White Oaks Chapel, 1696 El Camino Real, this afternoon, interment was in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

Son of Georgia Francis "Fannie" Haynes and Walter Purdy. In 1910, the family was living in Tule Lake, Klamath Co., Oregon.
