All the children were born on the farm. She never had anything new or went anywhere. She was a very hard worker. She would dye Easter eggs with onion skins, then at night she would put a coat over herself and hop out in the field pretending to be the Easter bunny. On Saturday night the kids had to clean the cook stove till it was spotless, that was Saturday night's entertainment.They lived 2 1/2 miles east of Sebewaing. She was awful sick before Christmas and died inJanuary.
