Mary Emma Beck, 61, died July 25, 1998 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born October 5, 1936, she was the daughter of Felix and Lucille McKnight Franks.
She was a waitress at Curtis Cafe for many years.
She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti.
Survivors include the following: Donna Ellis of Benton, Mo., Judy Lair of Corinth, Miss., and Rhonda Beck of Hayti; her father, Felix Franks Sr. of Hayti; her mother, Lucille Franks of Hayti; three brothers, Felix Franks, Jr., of Kennett, Walter Franks, Sr., and A.G. Franks, Sr. both of Hayti, Mo.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held July 28, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Dr. Ralph Bruce officiating. Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens near Caruthersville, Mo.
Pallbearers were the following: Leonard Bellow, Lee Watkins, Ron Birmingham, Jim Morgan, Phil Bowen, and Bob Inman.
