Services for Virgil Curtis Kneebone will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Congregational Church, North Tejon and East St.Vrain streets, with the Rev. Jerry Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Willamette National Cemetary, Portland, Ore. Mr. Kneebone died Monday in a Colorado Springs hospital. Mr. Kneebone was born Sept. 10,1919, in Flandreau, S.D. and was a member of the First Congregational Church. He was employed as a housing officer at Peterson Air Force Base and recieved a number of military decorations during his service in the Army and Air Force. Mr. Kneebone was was a Chief Warrant Officer with the 13th Air Force in the Southwest Pacific and also served as a sergeant in the Army. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, his sister passed in 2002. Surviving brother, Merle William Kneebone.
