Daniel Poster was born on November 4, 1940 in Little Falls, MN to the late Louis and Margaret Poster. He was united in marriage to Sandra Otremba on September 7, 1964 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN where he was a lifetime member. In 1963 Daniel took over the family farm where he operated the farm until 1988. During his time farming Daniel also worked other various jobs which included construction and masonry work. Daniel also was employed at Larson Boat Co. in Little Falls for 22 years and recently retired from there in October of 2008. Daniel loved entertaining his many friends with card games and other various activities. He also loved taking his family on long family drives. Daniel also was known to spend many hours tinkering in his shop were he was always welding and inventing. He also loved to read a book or anything he could get his hands on. When time allowed he would spend some quality time in the great outdoors. Daniel will be dearly missed by many family and friends.

Daniel is survived by wife, Sandra Poster of Buckman, MN; sons, Tony (Jolene) Poster of Coon Rapids, MN, Ken Poster of Buckman, MN, Steve (Lisa) Poster of Rice, MN, Jeff Poster of Buckman, MN, Michael Poster of Pierz, MN, and Charlie Poster of Minneapolis, MN; daughters, Sheri (Mike) Menden of Pierz, MN and Sarah (Jeff) Rustad of Princeton, MN; brother, Jim (Phyllis) Poster of Buckman, MN; sisters-in-law, Leora & Maxine Poster; 20 grandchildren, & 1 great-grandchild.

Daniel is preceded in death by parents, Louis & Margaret Poster; brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, & Dave Poster. Honorary Casketbearers will be: Gordy Brixius, Harvey Britz, Marvin Gall, Cliff Marshik, Ron Przybilla, Donald Przybilla, & Melvin Stumpf. Active Bearers will be: Gerry, Kevin, John, Gordy, Russ, & Greg Poster.
