ATLANTA RESIDENT - Mrs. Catherine Walton Died Monday at Indianapolis

Mrs. Catherine Lorene Walton, widow of Edgar S. Walton, a life-time resident of Atlanta, died Monday morning in Indianapolis following an illness of two months. Death was attributed to heart trouble.

The deceased was a daughter of Henry and Anna (Dunn) Rhodes and was born in Atlanta January 13, 1878. Her mother, now 91 years old, still survives. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. S.S. Walton, of Atlanta; two daughters, Mrs. Dwight Mendenhall, Atlanta and Mrs. Don Cooper of Anderson and a son, Edgar, of Anderson, four grandchildren survive.

A twin brother, Clyde, died in infancy. Mrs. Walton, whose husband died many years ago, was a devout member of the Atlanta Christian church until her recent illness. She has a host of friends in and around the Atlanta community to mourn her passing.

Services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Shaffer funeral home at Arcadia.
