MILLPORT -
Hubert Godfrey, 72, of Millport died Monday at the Fayette Hospital in Fayette. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the chapel of Dowdle Funeral Home at 2 p m with Elder Odis Freeman officiating. Interment followed in Millport Cemetery.

A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hettie Godfrey of Millport; three sisters, Mrs. Addie Lou Moore (Charlie), Mrs. Effie Mae Trull (Gray) and Mrs. Ruth Peddicord (Ed), all of Kennedy; one brother Bill Godfrey (Gwyn) of Albuquerque, NM and a large number of neices and nephews who loved him.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ratha, brothers B. Franklin, J. Roy.

Pallbearers were Bobby Wheeler, Banks Trull, Reul Crowley, Johnnie Winters, Charlie Weathers and Charles Hogan.
