Lourie Ann Rice, 37, passed away Saturday August 30, 2008 in Denton. She was born September 4, 1970 in Denton, TX to Eugene and Virginia Smith Starnes. She was a homemaker. Visitation will be on Tuesday September 2, from 7:00 -8:00 pm at the Huff/Slay Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3 at 4:00 pm also at Huff/Slay.
She is survived by two sons, Robert David Rice of Denton and Michael Terry Rice of Pilot Point; one daughter, Shay Denise Rice of Pilot Point; one grandson Haden Scott Rice of Denton; husband Terry Rice of Pilot Point; two brothers, Allen E. Starnes of Pilot Point, Jimmy Simmons of Wylie; two sisters, Vickie Stewart of Denton and Sharon Simmons of Wylie; mother Virginia Ruth Starnes; six nephews of two nieces.
She was preceed in death by her father Floyd Eugene Starnes, sister Deborah Lynn Simmons and brother Stephen Dewayne Starnes.
Services are under the direction of Huff/Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point, Texas.
