Marie Conner Galloway, 88, of Etowah, died Thursday morning, June 26, 2008, at Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah, TN.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Nell Woods Conner.

She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis G. Galloway; and a sister, Helen Watson.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm "Mike" and Gail Galloway of Greenville, SC; one daughter, Jean Burns of Chattanooga; grandchildren and spouses, Angela and Kevin Beairsto, Wendy and Curtis Markham, Melissa and Tony Epple, Michele and Michael Haas, and Michael and Kathleen Galloway; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Davis of Ducktown; and three brothers, Carl "Buck" Conner of Etowah, Jim Conner of Etowah, and Bill Conner of Old Hickory, TN.

Family and friends will assemble at the McMinn Memory Gardens Mausoleum at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, 29th for the entombment service with the Rev. Roy Fowler officiating. There will be no visitation held.
