Mignonette Thyr, 92, an Auburn resident since the 19th century, died Friday at Auburn General Hospital. Born in Gilford, Conn. Jan. 17, 1882. Mrs. Thyr came to Auburn when she was 14. Two years later she married a farmer, and she spent most of her life in this area as a farner's wife, raising six children, four of whom she outlived.

Mrs. Thyr remained active and healthy for the last three years painted extensively in spite of occasional failing vision and a leg weakened from an injury several years ago. She was a member of the auxiliary to the Veteras of Foreign Wars. She is survived by two sons, James O'Grady of Auburn and Roy O'Grady of Tacoma; 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren The Rev. Eric Sigman officated at funeral services at 3 p.m. Tureday at the Lightle Chapel. Burial was at Mountain View Cemetery.
