Mrs. Emma Peatross Minter, 75, wife of the late Obedian Coleman Minter of Martinsville, died early Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. Cabell Turner, near Axton. Funeral arrangements had not been completed early Wednesday afternoon, pending arrival of relatives from a distance. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. G. Cabell Turner, Axton; Mrs. Claude Jarrett, Besoco, W. Va., Albert K. Minter and O. C. Minter Jr., of Beckley, W. Va.; Basil C. Minter, Rohdell, W. Va.; and E. L. Minter, Kingsport, Tenn. Two sisters, Mrs. Ada P. Wit, this city and Mrs. Nina Eanes of Roanoke, and one brother, R. Bruce Peatross of Axton, also remain. The deceased was a lifelong resident of Henry county. She made her home near Axton, prior to her removal to Martinsville about fifteen years ago. Her husband preceded her to the grave about three years ago. Burial at Oakwood
