Born in Clay County, Kentucky, he came to Oklahoma at the age of eight years. In 1923, he moved to Wagoner County, then in 1942 to the City of Wagoner.
Survivors in addition to his son, Alton, include two other sons, William H. Sexton, Muskogee and Herbert W. Sexton, Eugene, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kimbro, Selma, California and Mrs. Liza McCoy, Fresno, California, also 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Green Funeral Home, Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Floyd Luellen, Kay Gadberry, George Thomas, Bert Clark, Jess Davis and Bidie Johnson.
